Stellar Livestock (formerly Black Star Angus) is situated in Mudgegonga, near Myrtleford, in North East Victoria. Our goal is to produce quality bulls that offer maternal efficiency and carcase merit to commercial breeders.

Julian Carroll, principal of Stellar Livestock is a fourth generation beef producer in Mudgegonga. The seedstock business was established in 2011, however the Carroll family’s involvement in Angus goes back to the 1930′s with genetics first sourced from Clarke Buchanan at Ormidale Station just out of Tallangatta.

Stephen and Kathryn Carroll joined Julian and Sally in the business in 2022 which saw the re-branding to Stellar Livestock.

Much of Stellar Livestock operates on property first purchased by the family in the 1870s.  Running in parallel to the seedstock operation is a commercial enterprise, producing EU accredited steers for the high marbling feedlot market.
